00RESOLUTIONNO.05-15ARESOLUTIONEXPRESSINGSUPPORTFORTHEFALLRIVERPLANFORRESILIENCYWHEREAS,theFallRivercorridorisheavilydevelopedwithresortaccommodationsandresidentialhomes;andWHEREAS,the2013floodeventdamagedpropertiesandpublicinfrastructure,andcausedsignificantchangestotheFallRiver;andWHEREAS,theFallRiverCoalition(“Coalition”),whichincludedvolunteermembersofthepublicandlocallandowners,assembledtocoordinateandadvocateforthehealthandresiliencyofthecorridor;andWHEREAS,throughagenerousgrantfromtheNorthernColoradoCommunityFoundation,theCoalitionpreparedtheFallRiverPlanforResiliencyforthepurposeofguidingharmoniousrecovery,restorationandresiliencyalongtheFallRivercorridor;andWHEREAS,publicengagementplayedacentralroleinthedevelopmentofthePlanforResiliencythroughaRiverAdvisoryCommittee,neighborhoodcaptainsandextensivepublicmeetingswithpropertyownersalongthecorridor.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARKherebyrecognizesandsupportstheextensiveeffortsoftheFallRiverCoalitionandthevisionestablishedintheresultingFallRiverPlanforResiliency.PASSEDANDADOPTEDthis31dayof_____________,2015.ATTEST:VerkMayor
