CaRESOLUTION#23-17WHEREAS,theTownofEstesParksupportstheGreatOutdoorsColoradograntapplicationfortheFallRiverTrailExtensionProject,andifawarded,theTownofEstesParkwillsupportconstructionoftheproject;andWHEREAS,theTownofEstesParkhasrequested$2,000,000fromGreatOutdoorsColoradotoextendtheFallRiverTrailfromitscurrentterminusatSleepyHollowCourtwestalongHighway34approximatelytotheintersectionofFishHatcheryRoad.NOW,THEREFORE,BASEDUPONTHERECITALSSETFORTHABOVEWHICHAREINCORPORATEDHEREINBYREFERENCE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADOASFOLLOWS:1.TheEstesParkTownBoardauthorizestheexpenditureoffundsnecessarytomeetthetermsandobligationsofanygrantawarded.2.TheprojectsiteisownedbyTheColoradoDepartmentofTransportationandwillbeownedbytheColoradoDepartmentofTransportationforthenext25years.3.TheTownBoardrecognizesthat,astherecipientofaGreatOutdoorsColoradoLocalGovernmentgrant,theproiectsitemustprovidereasonablepublicaccess.4.TheTownBoardwillcontinuetomaintainTheFallRiverTrailExtensionProjectinahigh-qualityconditionandwillappropriatefundsformaintenanceinitsannualbudget.5.Ifthegrantisawarded,theTownBoardherebyauthorizestheMayortosignthegrantagreementwithGreatOutdoorsColorado.6.Thisresolutiontobeinfullforceandeffectfromandafteritspassageandapproval.Datedthis-,2017.MayorATTEST:t-go’.TernClerk
