00RESOLUTION#24-18ARESOLUTIONAUTHORIZINGTHEFORMATIONOFANAD-HOCTASKFORCETOEVALUATETHETOWN’SROLEINWORKFORCEHOUSINGANDCHILDCAREWHEREAS,Availableandaffordableworkforcehousingandchildcareareidentifiedessentialneedsforaprosperousandsustainablecommunity;andWHEREAS,TheTownBoardiscommittedtoevaluatingwaysthattheTowncanhelpaddresstheavailabilityandaffordabilityofworkforcehousingandchildcare;andWHEREAS,The2018ChildcareNeedsAssessmentpresenteddataandoptionsforaddressingproblemswithchildcareavailabilityandaffordabilityintheEstesValley;andWHEREAS,The2016HousingNeedsAssessmentpresenteddataandoptionsforincreasingworkforcehousingoptionsintheEstesValley;andWHEREAS,TheFamilyAdvisoryBoardhasmaderecommendationstotheTownBoardonthesubjectofchildcare;andWHEREAS,TheTownBoardhasrequestedamoredetailedexplorationandevaluationofoptionsforTowninvolvementintheareasofworkforcehousingandchildcareintheEstesValley.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:Section1:TheWorkforceHousingandChildcareTaskForceisherebyestablishedtodeveloprecommendationsfortheTownBoardconcerningtheTown’sroleinworkforcehousingandchildcareinitiatives.Section2:ThemembersofthistaskforcewillbeTrusteeBangs,TrusteeNorris,andAssistantTownAdministratorMachalek.Section3:ThescopeofthistaskforcewillbelimitedtodevelopingrecommendationsfortheTownBoardofTrusteesonstrategiesandtacticstoaddressWorkforceHousingandChildcareavailabilityandaffordabilityissues.DATEDthis_____dayoft\Y’JWXO-L2D18.TOWNOFSTPARKMayorATTEST:rk
