00RESOLUTION#19-18SUPPORTINGCOLORADOPARKS&WILDLIFEGRANTAPPLICATIONSFORFALLRIVERTRAILEXTENSIONWHEREAS,theTownofEstesParksupportsbothgrantapplicationsadministeredbyColoradoParksandWildlifefortheFallRiverTrailExtensionProject,andifawarded,theTownofEstesParkwillsupportconstructionandmaintenanceoftheproject;andWHEREAS,theTownofEstesParkwillberequesting$750,000fromtheLandandWaterConservationFundgrantand$250,000fromtheNon-MotorizedTrailsgranttoextendtheFallRiverTrailfromacurrentterminusatapproximatelytheintersectionofFishHatcheryRoadandDavidDriveeastalongFishHatcheryRoadandHighway34totheintersectionofHighway34andDavidDrive.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:1.TheEstesParkTownBoardintendstoappropriatefundsthroughitsannualbudgetprocessfortheconstructionoftheproject.2.TheTownBoardwillcontinuetomaintaintheFallRiverTrailExtensionProjectinahigh-qualityconditionandintendstoappropriatefundsformaintenancethroughitsannualbudgetprocess.3.TheprojectsitewillbemaintainedinperpetuityforpublicoutdoorrecreationandwillbeundercontroloftheTownasTownright-of-way,CDOTpermit,oreasement.4.TheTownBoardrecognizesthat,astherecipientofaColoradoParksandWildlifegrant,theprojectsitemustprovidereasonablepublicaccess.5.Thisresolutiontobeinfullforceandeffectfromandafteritspassageandapproval.DATEDthis________dayofSۍQ4V.ht42L,2018.TOWNOFSPARKMayorATTEST:p..flflToCIerk
