TOUR BUS PARKING:
Town Engineer/Planner Widmer presented a proposal for tour bus parking
in which four parking spaces on the west end of Bond Park would be used
for a bus unloading area and four bus parking spaces would be established
in the Athletic Field parking 1st.The proposal allowed for circular
routing of the buses and “pull—through”parking.The Committee discussed
the proposal at great length but did not make a recommendation at that
t ime.
SIGNING FOR PARKING:
After inspecting the existing signing for parking areas,the Committee
recommends that additional parking signs be installed at the following
locations:
Wiest Drive &Moraine Avenue
Moraine Avenue near the rest rooms
In front of the Community Church (to direct to the Wiest Drive
and American Legion lots)
On the traffic signal at East Riverside Drive and Elkhorn
Avenue (when installed)
REPORTS:
Member Bob Mobus commented that he spoke with several persons and that
it might be possible to interest a local club in beautifying the traffic
islands at the Highway 34/36 and Highway 36/7 intersections.
The next committee meeting is tentatively scheduled for January 28,1981
at 3:00 p.m.
The meeting adjourned.
