HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Building Code Committee 1968-12-05RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Building Code Committee December 5,1968 Committee: Attending: Also Attending: Chairman Steele;Trustees Dannels and Petrocine Chairman Steele;Trustees Dannels and Petrocine Building Inspector Mowery and Town Clerk Hill The Committee discussed the proposed ordinance prohibiting burning.The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the Building Inspector be instructed to approve any fireproof container with an adequate spark arrestor cover. The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees the Town of Estes Park proceed in January of 1969 to amend the Municipal Code and adopt the new 1968 National Electric Code. The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the Building In spector be authorized to approve reasonable directional traffic signs for the purpose of directing organizations or groups through Estes Park. The Committee recommends the Wage Committee of the Town consider a salary increase for the Building Inspector.It is recommended an increase in salary go into effect six months from the date of employment. The proposed addition to the Town Municipal Code regarding trash storage control was referred to the Building Inspector for the purpose of deter mining how the containers will comply with the Uniform Building Code. Town PROPOSED ADDITION TO THE ESTES PAPK TRASH ORDINANCE BY THE ESTES PARK JAYCEES PURPOSE: To make the containing of trash or things which might become trash the direct responsibility of the individual business owner or property owner implicit in the law. INSEPT THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS:f ,t Every property owner or business owner shall be responsible for the maintainence of proper trash control in,on,or about his business and/or property1/ Proper trash control sha:Ll mean: To maintain trash receptacles which can be conpietely closed and sealed to prevent blowing of trash,or where large amounts of trash are going to be collected or where trash consists of objects too large for cans,a structure must be built complete with roof so that no traah may escape from same.
