PHESENT:Chairman Wm.Myers,Dr.DeGroot,iJottie Nutchier,
Stanley Pratt,Bob Burgess,Hans Gartner,Mrs.
Dick Hi1lye,Glenn Prosser
Chairman Myers repured that the Town had approved 55O for
completion of the island planting on East Elkhorn,which
the committee estimated at l2O for rock hauling and about
4OO—425 for planting.
One bid was in for the planting:Chief Jenesta.His plan
called for 62 Evergreen and Deciduous plants.He figuredthat24bigmossrockwouldbeneeded,and some small ones.
His figures was 635 without aspen;648.35 with aspen;
46OO.35 with all “native”plant material.Planting carries
one—year guarantee of liveability.
Gartner moved,Burgess seconded that Cleveland be given
24 hours to put in his bid.Passed.Prosser was named to
request change of appropriation from Town to 75O.
Chairman named committee of Burgess,Pratt,Mrs.Hillyer and self
to consider bids,receive Town decision and award bid on
basis of 55O or 475O appropriation.

Committee unanimously approved Van Horn plan for new Town
Hall Parking Lot.(No.2)
Committee unanimously approved retaining wall and plantingatedgeofWeistDriveandMoraineDriveparkinglot,per
Town plans.Committee agreed that,if possible,some other
material than cinder block be used,rook preferred to give
ultimate attractiveness.
Discussion was held regarding bare intersection triangle
west of American Legion.Burgess suggested that Chief’s
Landscaping and Cleveland be asked to submit proposal forthisbyNov.15,1971.He was named chairman of group to dothis,and to also contact State Highway for possible plan(free)by their architect.DeGroot seconded.Passed.
Discussion held of problem caused by uncovered trucks carryingtrashtodump.‘i’he committee recommended that the Town considerregulationsrequiringthatalltrashbetakenincontainers,orthatpickupsbecoveredwithtarp.Also,that the county be asked
to enforce its anti—littering ordinance along the Beaver Point
Road.Dr.DeGreot named to prepare news release on this.
Dottie Mutchier named to coordinate new projects with
groups:Quota,Legion Auxiliary,Newcomers,Woman’s Club,ESA.
She will ask them to consider a budget for this work.
Next meeting set for 8 p.m.Tuesday,June 1.
