OPERATING SYSTEMS COURSE -AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND:
Finance Officer Vavra requested authorization to allow Judy
McPhee to attend the aforementioned course May 18 -22,1987 in
Denver.The course is sponsored by NCR and will familiarize
students with the operating systems of main—frame computers.
Cost of the course,including expenses is approximately
$1,400.00.Stating such courses prove beneficial to the Town,
the Committee recommends approval of the request,authorizing an
expenditure of $1,400.00±.
REPORTS:
The Committee reviewed a letter dated February 9,1987 submitted
by the National Park Service concerning the diversion struc
ture/Cascade Dam Project.The Park Service suggested several
items to resolve the minimum flow issue for Fall River.Staff
and Town Attorney White have reviewed the letter and are in the
process of evaluating each item.A reply should be available
within two weeks.
The rate study has been delayed,however,the report should be
available for review at the next Committee meeting.
To prepare for interconnects with new feeders from Marys Lake
Substation,the Department has been reconductoring the south
line circuit from Estes Substation.The project should be
completed early next week.
The Department has also been performing service work for the
National Park Service.Such an opportunity proves beneficial to
both entities -the Department performs the work and the Park
Service pays labor and vehicle costs.
64 telephone calls,28 notes were placed and 12 accounts were
disconnected during February.
Platte River Power Authority:
Platte River Power Authority was successful in selling their
bonds;the savings will be distributed among all four member
municipalities.
The search firm of Ralph Anderson and Associates has been
obtained to locate a general manager for PRPA.
Director Dekker has been elected Chairman of the Board for
1987.
