REPORTS. 1991 Financial Summary.Staff thoroughly reviewed the Light and Power Fund Income Statement for years ending December 1990 and 1991,including the 1992 Budget.Revenues indicate a 4%trend line,while expenditures indicate a trend line of 8%.Graphs comparing purchased power (energy)for 1990—1992,accumulated year— to—date totals by month,and purchase power demand were presented. All PRPA member cities annually submit a 10-year forecast to Platte River.PRPA uses the forecasts as a planning tool to perform load— f low studies used to determine projects to be included in the Ten Year Capital Additions Report.The Department uses the forecasts to project retail electric sales and estimate purchased power costs for the Department’s annual budget. In addition,Staff is preparing a 5-year Capital Improvement Plan to be presented to the Committee later this year.The Committee requested staff (A)provide details regarding increased “Administrative”costs in the 1992 Budget,and (B)provide copies of the PRPA 10-year forecasts. 1992 Goals/First Half.Director Matzke reviewed personnel,rates, capital purchases,projects and the like for the first half of 1992. Prolect Updates.The Committee received an update on the North End,Marys Lake Water Treatment Plant transformer and underground primary and the Bureau of Reclamation installation of a transfer trip relay,Far View Lane,etc. Electric Rate Modification Update.Staff is preparing a letter to all electric customers advising that the new rate structure will be reflected with the February 20 utility bills.The letter will include additional information pertaining to the 15,000 kWh threshold and potential transfer in rate class. Personnel.Dave Everson has been hired to fill the Utility Worker I position,and a revised job title from Line Foreman to Line Superintendent has been processed for Ed Dragon. Platte River Power Authority.No report at this time. March Meeting Date.Due to a scheduling conflict,the March meeting will be held Thursday,March 26--meeting time is yet to be determined.
