In checking the minutes, this request was also made May 18,1964, and was sent to the Board of Trustees for final approval. The regular minutes of the Board of Trustees for the meeting held on May 25,1964,show that Trustee Harry Tregent moved the Light & Power Department not construct a device to support a street banner across Elkhorn Avenue.Trustee Carl Swanson seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting “Yes”Trustees Ronald Brodie,Henry Dannels,C.M.Hunter, L.Leo Martin,Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting “No” none. It is estimated that total cost to install such equipment to display banners at this time would cost between $750.00 and $800.00,plus maintenance requirements during the summer months. This is again referred to the Board of Trustees for approval. 2.Sweetland asked the Committee for permission to advertise for sale two sets of side boxes for pickup trucks which are now in storage.
