Light and Power Committee Meeting

RADIO LEASE:
Superintendent Sweetland reported he had contacted two sources for lease
arrangements for portable radios.Both sources reported they do not
lease portable radios.
OLD TRUCK BODY:
Superintendent Sweetland reported he has decided to keep the old truck
body and either the Light and Power Department or some other department
of the Town will use it.
1970 BUDGET:
Office Manager Duncan presented a proposed 1970 Light and Power budget.
The Committee reviewed the budget at length and it will be submitted to
the Board of Trustees for their consideration.
NEW ELECTRIC RATES:
The results and findings of the recent Public Utilities Commission hear
ing regarding our proposed electric rates were discussed.A revenue
projection study in regard to the proposed rates is attached to and made
a part of these proceedings.After considerable discussion the Committee
recommends to the Board of Trustees that the electric rates as proposed
in accordance with the Public Utilities Commission findings be adopted
and that Mr.Leonard Campbell be instructed to prepare the necessary
amendment to the ordinance and submit revised rate sheets to the Public
Utilities Commission.
COPPER WIRE:
Superintendent Sweetland reported copper wire is available to the de
partment at a cost of 6l a pound.The Committee referred this request
to the staff.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
