HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Light and Power Committee 1970-04-27RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS April 27,1970 Light &Power Coimnittee Meeting Committee:Chairman Tregent;Trustees Petrocine and Brownfield Attending:Chairman Tregent;Trustees Petrocine and Brownfield Also Attending:Superintendent Sweetland,Office Manager Duncan and Town Administrator Hill NEW VEHICLE REQUEST Superintendent Sweetland requested approval for the purchase of a new ½ton pickup to replace unit No.14,1954 Chevrolet ½ton pickup. The Committee granted approval to purchase a 1970 Chevrolet ½ton pickup through the State of Colorado purchasing department at an approx imate cost of $1,862.00.Unit No.14 will be disposed of by bid. INTEREST RATE CHANGE ON CUSTOMER DEPOSITS Office Manager Duncan presented Attorney Leonard Campbell’s letter of April 24,1970,referring to Public Utilities Conunission Decision No. 74764 indicating that interest on customer deposits would now be seven (7)percent starting July 1,1970.The Committee recommends conformity and that Colorado PUC No.2 Sheet No.R-5 be amended to reflect the increased rate as well as Light &Power Ordinance No.7.3-5(c). DELINQUENT ACCOUNT POLICY REVISION Office Manager Duncan requested Committee policy in regard to accounts constantly on shut off list.The Committee recommends the following procedure in order to restore service to customer: 1.Pay bill in full. 2.Pay turn on fee. 3.Make a deposit in an amount not to exceed an estimated ninety (90)days’service bill. POLE USE AGREEMENT Mr.Sweetland reported the joint use agreement has not been signed be cause of inequities in the method of calculation.The Committee in structed Mr.Sweetland to set up a meeting between Mrs.Grant from Mountain Bell and a Committee composed of Town Administrator Hill, Superintendent Sweetland and Office Manager Duncan to study the agree ment. SWJLTZ ANTENNA REQUEST Mr.Shultz requested permission to attach an antenna for a four (4) channel translator station to the pole used by the Town communication system on Prospect Mountain.The Committee tabled the request for further study.
