Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Superintendent Sweetland,
Asst.Supt.Dekker,Office Manager Duncan and
Alan R.Harmon from Estes Park CATV.
BASE STATION REQUEST:
Superintendent Sweetland submitted a request for an additional radio
base station equipped with a device permitting use at the substation
during outages.The approximate cost is $700.00.The Committee re
commends that approval be granted.
AMENDMENTS TO ORDINANCE NO.12-70 RELATING TO EP.CATV:
14.14—4 Term of Permit.(Page 4)-After line 14,add (after the word
installations)the following:“or sell all of said permittees property
to a third party who has been granted a permit according to this ordi
nance”.
14.14-9 Service To Be Furnished.(page 6)-In the fourth line down,
insert the word “new tI after the word “any”.
Reword to include an extension policy to be approved by the Light &
Power Committee and so stated in permit to be granted by the Town.
14.14-10 Fees To Be Paid.(page 6)In the third line down,after the
word “gross”,insert the words “cable service”and after the word “the”
insert “monthly service fee in the”(so that line three reads “centage
of its gross cable service revenue and receipts derived from the monthly
service fee in the.”).In the 6th and 7th line,after the word “gross”,
insert the words “cable service”and after the word “revenue”,insert
(in line 7)“of monthly service fee”.(Line 7 should read “Gross cable
service revenue of monthly service fee and receipts shall not include
any taxes imposed”.)In the last three lines of this paragraph on
page 6,where the sentence begins “Permittee shall”strike out the en
tire last three lines of this page and the first two lines of page 7.
14.11,il Business Prohibited.Delete.
14.14-12 Pay TV Not Authorized.(page 7)In the fourth line down,after
the word “basis”,add “to subscribers”.
14.14-13 Changes Permitted.(Page 7)In the fourth line down,delete
“according to”after “shall be”and insert “no more than”after “be”.
(Line 4 should be reworded to read “same or similar service and shall
be no more than the maximum”.)
14.14—17 Service To Be Furnished Schools.(page 8)In the second line,
after the word “without”insert “a monthly service fee”and delete the
word “charge”.The second line will thenread as follows:“will,upon
request therefor,provide and furnish without a monthly service fee”.
14.14—19 Bond Required.(page 10)In line seven reword to indicate
as follows:“an amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00)per year”.

14.14-22 Customer Service Contracts.(page 12)Whether or not service
contracts shall be used by permittee shall be resolved between the
attorney for the Town,Mr.Ernest C.Hartwell,and the attorney for the
permittee,Mr.Ralph Clark.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
