HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Light and Power Committee 1970-07-20RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS July 20,1970 Light and Power Committee Meeting Committee:Chairman Tregent;Trustees Petrocine and Brownfield Attending:Chairman Tregent;Trustees Petrocine and Brownfield Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Superintendent Sweetland, Asst.Supt.Dekker and Office Manager Duncan POLE USE AGREEMENT: Superintendent Sweetland reported that the pole use agreement is ready for signature.The Committee recommends approval of the agreement as corrected. RECREATION DISTRICT POWER RATE REQUEST: Superintendent Sweetland reported that a special heating contract may be drawn up between two governmental agencies according to PU.C.The Committee recommends that the request be tabled for additional informa tion to be obtained by Superintendent Sweetland. POWER FOR RNNP: Superintendent Sweetland reported a meeting with Park personnel for the purpose of staking out a line extension to supply power to RNNP. CABLE TV FRANCHISE: Town Administrator Hill discussed the performance bond as indicated in the present ordinance and particularly relating to street repair and the cost thereof to be established as a dollar value.The Committee recommends that the value of the bond be established at $50,000.00 dur ing construction and reduced to $10,000.00 after twelve (12)months which is the time allowed for construction of the cable TV system. MEETING WITH MR.HARMON: The Chairman of the Light and Power Committee instructed Town Adminis trator Hill to meet with Mr.Harmon from the Estes Park TV Co.and dis cuss the performance bond which is to be held in abeyance until some future date.Town Administrator Hill reported on his meeting with Mr. Harmon. MONOGRAM SHOP ELECTRIC RATE: Office Manager Duncan reported a telephone call from the Monogram Shop protesting being placed on commercial rate 4 after enjoying a special rate in the past.All special rates were abandoned when the present commercial rates went into effect May 10,1970.The Committee recommends conformity to the rates filed with P.U.C. LINE EXTENSION REQUEST -GLEN HAVEN: Superintendent Sweetland presented a request from a subdivider for a line extension to accommodate sixty (60)additional users.The Committee recommends acquiring permission to serve from Loveland and also from PUC since the location is within Loveland’s jurisdiction.
