HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Light and Power Committee 1973-05-0400 C2 RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Light and Power Committee Meeting Nay 4,1973 Committee:Chairman Petrocine;Trustees Wagner and Burgess Attending:Trustee Wagner Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Superintendent Dekker, Business Office Manager Duncan,Engineer Van Horn Absent:Chairman Petrocine;Trustee Burgess LIGHT &POWER SERVICE BUILDING: Superintendent Dekker presented a copy of the newspaper ad requesting proposals for various phases of work to be done on the Service Building including excavation,plumbing,carpentry,electrical,heating and con crete work.Superintendent Dekker also presented a copy of the architect’s foundation detail drawings and explained a necessary change from the original plan.The Committee recommends that Superintendent Dekker proceed according to plan. SERVICE BUILDING CONTRACT FOR STRUCTURE: Superintendent Dekker advised that a contract has been executed with Burton Builders for a steel building to be erected on a prepared foundation. RODEO GROUNDS P.A.SYSTEM: Superintendent Dekker presented a proposal to revamp the entire PA. system at an estimated cost of about $1,500.00.The Committee recommends approval. BARN LIGHTS CONVERSION COSTS-RODEO GROUNDS: Superintendent Dekker advised that fire proof bulb enclosure assemblies will cost $5.53 each.The number required is 70 and labor to install will amount to approximately $75.00.The Committee recommends approval. SOUTH LINE UNDERGROUNDING COSTS: Superintendent Dekker reported that the cost for duct,not including cement,for undergrounding 1,243 feet in a joint project effort with Mountain Bell,will amount to approximately $10,000.00.The Committee recommends proceeding. STORM TROUBLE COSTS: Superintendent Dekker reported that the trouble caused by snow April 24 and 25,1973,cost the department approximately $1,000.00 to repair. POWER LINE DAMAGE CAUSED BY TRUCK: Superintendent Dekker reported that replacing a primary pole and re pairing three spans of wire resulted in billing the trucking firm $929.71 for the damage on May 2,1973.
