Light and Power Committee Meeting

LIGHT &POWER SERVICE BUILDING:
Superintendent Dekker reported on construction progress of the service
building advising that excavation is completed for caissons although a
cement contractor has not been obtained.The bids for reinforcing steel
are reasonable.
SOUTH LINE UNDERGROUNDING:
Superintendent Dekker reported that the Bureau of Reclamation issued a
right-of-way license to the Town.Placement of the concrete encased
duct has been completed at a cost of $7,618.00.
RODEO GROUNDS P.A.SYSTEM:
Superintendent Dekker advised that the system engineering is completed
with firm bids totaling approximately $1,200.00.
STORM DAMAGE COSTS:
Superintendent Dekker reported that the cost of the last snow storm
amounted to over $4,000.00 in materials and labor.The total cost for
materials and labor for the past three storms totalled approximately
$6,000.00.
MATERIAL SALES POLICY:
Superintendent Dekker requested a policy decision concerning the saleofmaterials.The Corrmiittee recommends that the Light and Power Depart
ment supply emergency items only or items required by the department
that ordinarily would not be stocked by contractors,subject to approval
of the Light and Power Superintendent.Emergency items will be replaced
by the electrical contractor.
EMPLOYEE STATUS:
Superintendent Dekker reported that three summer employees have been
hired to supplement the work force.

Minutes for the PRMFA meeting of May 9,1973,are attached and made apartoftheseproceedings.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
