HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Light and Power Committee 1976-08-1800 00 BRADFORD PUBlISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G $ Light &Power Committee /August 1$,1976 Committee:Chairman Petrocine,Trustees Wagner and Burgess Attending:Chairman Petrocine,Trustee Burgess Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Director Dekker,Finance Officer Duncan,and Administrative Intern Merkel Absent:Trustee Wagner 1977 BUDGET -TALLANT PARK SUBSTATION: In reviewing the Budget for 1977,the Committee recommended amending ittoallowimmediatescreeningoftheTallantParkSubstation.The Committee directed Robert Dekker to review any existing screening plansandspecificationsandtoobtainanyadditionalinformationnecessary for this project.The Committee then recommended the 1977 Budget besubmittedtotheBoardofTrusteesattheregularbudgetsessionswith the suggested amendments. MARY’S LAKE SUBSTATION: A letter of approval was received from the U.$.B.R.to tap its 115—ky transmission line at an estimated cost of $86,000.The estimated in— service date is 56 weeks after Town approval. Robert Dekker submitted proposals received for the Mary’s Lake Sub station design from the following engineering firms: R.W.Beck &Associates DMJM—Phullips.Reister,Inc. Miner and Miner The Committee decided to postpone its recommendation until the next Committee meeting in order to obtain detailed total cost estimates. FLOOD REPORT: Director Dekker reported that the power lines in the Miller Creek area below Glen Haven are now being repaired. Several meters in the Big Thompson Canyon were unable to be read fol lowing the flood disaster and,therefore,the next billing will include more hours of usage than the regular billing period.A letter explain ing the Light &Power situation and expected repair schedule has been sent to the Canyon customers.The accounts of those homes destroyed will be cancelled as of the last billing date. P.R.P.A.-POWER PLANT SITING -OFFICE BUILDING: A probable location for the future power plant will be the Wellington— Nunn area. The estimated cost for the proposed P.R.P.A.office building at this time is approximately $1,100,000.
