HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Light and Power Committee 1980-01-10BRADFORD PUBliSHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Light &Power Committee January 10,1980 Committee:Chairman Burgess,Trustees Houston and Swickard Attending:All Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Director Dekker,Finance Officer Duncan TRANSMISSION FACILITIES TRANSFER AGREEMENT: Light &Power Director Dekker distributed copies of the agreement between Platte River Power Authority and the Town of Estes Park trans ferring the operation and maintenance of Estes Park’s transmission facilities to PRPA.The Committee will review the agreement and make a recommendation at the next Committee meeting. METHANE GAS VENTILATION SYSTEM AT THE LIGHT &POWER SHOP: The engineer’s estimate for installing the ventilation system for the methane gas problem at the Light &Power shop totaled $17,458.50. The designs of the system have been forwarded to the State for approval. The Committee recommends obtaining bids for the project as soon as the plans are approved by the State. VEHICLE PURCHASES: The Committee recommends drawing specifications and obtaining bids on two one—ton trucks to replace vehicles #13 &#22.The Committee also directed the Light &Power Director to research the possibility of obtaining diesel trucks. REPORTS: CUSTOMER DEPOSITS -The P.U.C.has postponed implementation of Case #5320 regarding customer deposits because of several difficulties encountered in its implementation. 3107 ENERGY CONSERVATION BOOKS were distributed last month by the Boy Scouts while accompanying the Meter Readers on their regular routes. The cost of distribution was 5ç per book for a total of $150.35.It would have cost 27ç per book or $838.89 to mail the same number of copies. Line damage due to high winds on January 5th cost the Town approximately $5,000 in additional labor,materials and transportation.
