CABLE TELEVISION UPDATE:
John Shideler of Estes Park Cable TV Company was unable to attend the
Committee meeting and reported via telephone that the purchase agree
ment with Liberty Communications Company should be finalized on August
13,1981.Estes Park Cable TV Company has already started to compile
a list of problems called in by customers and all calls will be an
swered.Also,the cable television office will be open eight hours
a day either from 8:00 —5:00 or 9:00 -6:00.
REPLACEMENT OF PCB FILLED CAPACITORS:
Light and Power Director Dekker reported that several utility companies
have experienced leakage or rupturing of capacitors filled with PCB.
Because of stringent government regulations,the cleanup of the PCB
from a single rupture can run into thousands of dollars.The Committee
recommends replacing all of the PCB filled capacitors presently installed
on powerlines at an estimated cost of $4,500.
REPORTS
Platte River Power Authority will be selling bonds at the end of August
at which time it is estimated the interest rate will be 12%.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
