Minutes of a regular meeting of Estes Park Regional Planning Commission.
Meeting held on the 6th day of December at 4:00 p.ra. at the Tovm Hall.
Present: Val Bernard, Chairman; N. L. Bartlett, C. F. Hix, C. M. Hunter,
Andy Jones.
Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Secretary
Absent: R. C. Brodie, Louis Canaiy, Joe Connelly, J. 0. Mall.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on October 18, I960 read and approved
as read.
Mr. John Vanatta and Mr. Kenneth Harger appeared before the Commission sup
porting their application for a permit to construct and operate a saw mill
in a Commercial District located immediately north of the Estes Park Town
Dump site. The Commission discussed the proposal in detail and it being the
opinion of the Commission that the matter was a question of legal interpre
tation of the Ordinance, Andy Jones moved the following:
1. That the Secretary present the application to the County
Attorney for his opinion;
2. That if the Attorney's opinion were favorable that the per
mit be issued;
3. If the Attorney's opinion not favorable that the Commission
consider the ground involved for rezoning.
M. L. Bartlett seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously
carried.
In accordance with action taken at the last regular meeting, the Commission
proceeded to consider the provisions of the proposed Comprehensive Zoning
Resolution for Larimer County as submitted by the Committee. The Commission
unanimously recommended the following changes:in the proposed new resolution:
E-1 District: That the provision for keeping two horses for private
use remain in the nevr Ordinance; that the provision for water develop
ment for sale remain in the new Ordinance;
Residence District: that the provision for raising of live stock and
similar farming uses be deleted from the new Ordinance;
Accommodations District: that provisions be made that single trailers
comply with the County Trailer Ordinance and that the provision for
raising of live stock be deleted;
Tourist District: that the provision for the raising of live stock
be deleted.
The Secretary was instructed to forward the above recommendations to the Larimer
County Planning Commission.
There being no further business it was regularly moved, seconded and carried
that the meeting adjourn.
