HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Regional Planning Commission 1959-09-15RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Minutes of the regular meeting of the Estes Park Regional Planning Coimnission Meeting held in the Town Hall on the 15th day of September, 1959 at 4:00 P.M. Present; Also Present; Absent; N. L. Bartlett, Vice Chairman, R. C. Brodie, Charles Herzog, Charles, Hix, G. H» Gillan, J. 0. Mall Verne H, Panton. Secretary Val Bernard, Joe Connelly, 0, M. Hunter, C. A. Law Minutes of the regular meeting held on August 18, 1959 read and approved as read. The Commission proceeded to consider the request to re-zone a tract of land laying north of the north boundary of the Reed Subdivision, and south of the Big Thompson River, and west of Mary* s Lake Road and located in the Northwes Quarter of Section 35, Township 5 North Range 73 West from the existing "Tourist District" to a "Residential District." The Secretary presented a petition signed by eight property owners in the above area requesting the change in zoning and stated that legal publication had been complied with and that there were no objections filed in writing and that there were no persons present to be heard. WHEREUPON Charles Herzog moved that this Commission re­ commend to Larimer County that the above described area be included within a Residential District. G. H. Gillan seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. The Secretary presented a petition requesting that all of the land n°nth of the present High Drive Road and west of the Sterling Cottages and south of the north bomdary of Section 26 and east of the west boundary of Section 26 be re-zoned from the existing Tourist District to E-1 Estate District, ^e petition is signed by thirteen property owners living in the above descnbed area. G. H. Gillan moved that legal publication be complied with regarding the above request. It. C. Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Charles Hix introduced the following Resolution and moved that it be passed and adopted;RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The Estes Park Regional Planning Commission is a part of the normal function of government of Larimer Countyj AND V/HEREAS, limited funds are essential for the proper operation ol this Commission; ,, , ,, „ _NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Commission, that the ioliomng funds be budgeted by Larimer County for the expenses of this Commission for the calender year. I960; 1. Sufficient funds to insure the continued services for professional advice. 2. The sum of Nine Hundred Dollars for all administrative, clerical and miscellaneous expense.
