Minutes of a special meeting of the Estes Park Regional Planning Commission.
Meeting held in the Town Hall on the 28th day of August, 1959 at 4:00 P.M.

In accordance vrith the action taken by the Commission at the regular meeting
held on August 18, this special meeting called by Chairman Joe Connelly for
the express purpose of making a decision regarding the request filed and a
public hearing hearing to re-zone the Southeast Quarter^ of Section ?,
Township 5, North Range 73 West from the existing '’Tounst District to a
'»E_1 Estate District".
The Secretary reported that ilr. Trafton Bean had appeared at Estes Park on
the 19th day^of August and reviewed all the proceedings regarding the request,
had inspected the area involved and had filed a written recommendation wa^th
the Com^ssion under date of August 19, 1959. Th\CommlsJi°ritJf^^®erty
written recommendation. Mr. Robert R. Knowles spokesman for the p^per^
owners filed the request for re-zoning, appeared before the Commissioned
filed a written approval of Mr. Bean’s recommendation. The
that Mr. H. F. Fiiller, Attorney at Law, representing commercial operators in
the area also approved Mr. Bean’s recommendation.
Following the final discussion by the Commission, G. H. Gillan ^o^edthatthis
Commission recommend to the Larimer County Planning Commission that the re

Mr Robert R. Knowles representing the High Drive property o;^ers association
also filed a written request asking that the.Commission consider extending the
E-1 Estate District boundary now located :m Section 26 to e eas
to include all lands north of the High Drive Road end west of the Storing
Cottages property line. Mr. Kno^Aes stated that an official request
^SfchLSe Sd be filed in the near future by the property ovmers in the
area involved.
There being no further business, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried
that the meeting adjourn.
