Minutes of a regular meeting of THE ESTES PARK REG-IONAL PLANNING- COMMISSION*
Meeting held in the Tovm Hall on the l6th day of July, 1957 at 7:30 P*M*
Present:&.H. G-lllan, Chairman, Donald Griffith, Charles Hlx, C.M. Hunter,
Dr* J*0* Mall, Glenn Prosser, Val Benard*

Minutes of the regular meeting held on June 25th read and approved* *
Public notice haveing been published, the Commission proceeded to consider
the application of D*E* Robinson for a permit to erect a 4* x 10* neon sign
on the roof of the Colonial Motor Lodge on Fall River Road* Mrs* Florence
Selander and Mr* I*B* Polevltzky appeared and spoke protesting the application
Mr* Robinson spoke supporting his application* A petition, signed by 11
property owners in the area was read, protesting the application* After
considerable discussion, C*M* Hunter moved that in view of the objections,
that the application, as submitted, be rejected* Dr* Mall seconded the
motion* Upon roll call said motion tinanlmously carried*
The minutes of a Committee meeting held on July 8th, relating to permits
was read by the Secretary* Charles Hix moved that they be approved* Glenn
Prosser, seconded the motion* Upon roll call said motion tinanlmously carried.
In discussing the need to expedite permit applications, filed during certain
pxxkxxHf times of the month. Dr* Mall moved that a meeting of the Commission
be called when necessary, with a quarum present, in order to act on pending
applications* Val Benard seconded the motion* Upon roll call said motion
unanimously carried*
Mr* John Morris presented copies, and explained, a prepared report entitled
"Economy of Estes Park"*
The Commission discussed the fact that the 6 month Intrlm period for zoning
District No* 3, will expire on August 15th* Donald Griffith Introduced the
following Resolution and moved that it be passed and adopted*
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of the County of Larimer did, on the
15th day of February, 1957» hy Resolution and according to law, establish
certain land use regulations applicable to the area West and South of The
Town of Estes Park;
AND WHEREAS, the time that said regulations are effective will
expire on August 15, 1957;AND vniEREAS, there appears necessity for, and the public health,
and welfare requires the extension of time pending the completion and
adoption of a plan for zoning said area;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ESTES PARK REGIONAL PLANNING
COMMISSION, that said County Commissioners be and they are hereby petitioned
to extend said period of time for another six month period*
