COMMITTEES Capital Improvements - The Committee will review a change order next week to R. C. Heath Construction Company's Streetscape 4 contract. AUTHORITY BUSINESS Kirchner Moore & Company - Kirchner Moore & Company representatives Jim Kreidle and Russ Caldwell presented information to the Board indicating present favorable conditions in the bond market. It was moved and seconded (Pohl-Klaphake) Kirchner Moore & Company, as the Authority's financial advisors, be authorized to proceed with preparation of bond documents for contemplated issuance of a $1,180,000 bond issue and that staff be authorized to assist as needed in the review of these documents. Motion carried. Resolution No. 124 - Wright Water Engineers - Commissioner Hondius noted a conflict of interest and abstained from discussion or vote. It was moved and seconded (Pauley-Godbolt) the Board authorize a work release to Wright Water Engineers _ for preparation and submittal of a Corps of Engineers 404 Permit for construction in the Big Thompson River, east of East Riverside Drive at a not-to- exceedycost of $1,700.00. Those voting YES Commissioners Phares, Pauley, Pohl, Ericson, Godbolt, Klaphake. Those voting NO None. Those ABSTAINING Commissioner Hondius. Motion carried. Riverwalk Easements - It was moved and seconded (Hondius-Pauley) staff be~~authorized to proceed with surveys of pedestrian easements along the East Riverwalk Corridor at a total not-to-exceed cost of $2,500.00. Motion carried. Design Studios West - E^t Riverwajjc Design z Director Anderson reviewed the Auth^ity's East Corridor Riverwalk project and, anticipated private development in this area. Staff recommends completion of all river dredging and retaining walls this ' followed by Riverwalk improvements from the East Riverside Drive Bridge to the Highway 36 Bridge in 1990. The Board authorized staff to obtain bids for deJi^lle<l information along a portion of the proposed East Corridor Riverwalk. A special meeting of the URA Board is scheduled for Tuesday, August 8, 1989 at 8:30 a.m. There being no further business. Chairman Phares adjourned the meeting. BILLS It was moved and seconded (Pohl-Hondius ) the bills be accepted into the record and the Executive Director be authorized to effect their payment. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS Planner Joseph read a letter from Patricia Peluso/Longmont, Colorado, requesting permission to film a television commercial in Riverside Plaza. Staff expects to receive sign package bid documents from Weber Design this week and will proceed to obtain bids for this project. Planner Joseph will meet with Design Studios West and Wright Water Engineers on Friday, July 21 to firm up the scope of services related to riverwalk extension along the Big Thompson River and East Riverside Park.
