Chairman Phares called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
7Minutes of the September .>1, 1989 regular meeting were approved as
prepared.
BILLS
It was moved and seconded (Pohl-Hondius) the bills be paid. Motion
carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Commissioner Pohl reguested and the Board received the August
Treasurer's Report into the record.
COMMITTEES
A Development Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,
September 27, 1989 at 8:00 a.m. to review a proposed development
plan for the Barlow Plaza.
LIAISON
EPURA Commissioners Phares and Pauley have been reappointed to
five-year terms on the Urban Renewal Board.
AUTHORITY BUSINESS
Resolution - Preparation of Site SurveyR - Cleave Street West
Parking Lot Area - It was moved and seconded (Klaphake-Pauley) that
Resolution No. 130, awarding a contract to Precision West at a not-
to-exceed cost of $1,064.00, be adopted. Motion carried.
Resolution - Survey Information on West Elkhorn Avenue Parking Lot
It was moved and seconded (Pohl-Pauley) that Resolution No. 131,
awarding a contract to Precision West at a not-to-exceed cost of
$1,728.00, be adopted. Motion carried.
STAFF
At Staff's request, it was moved and seconded (Pauley-Klaphake)
Staff be authorized to pay Estes Park Surveyors $120.00 for
restaking cross-section work at the East Corridor Riverwalk.
Motion carried.
Design Studios West and Wright Water Engineers recommends EPURA
perform a geotechnical survey for channelization of the river
bottom to determine the extent of bedrock outcropping at a cost of
from $1,500 to $5,000. It was moved and seconded (Klaphake-
Hondius) the Executive Director be authorized to solicit bids and
award a not-to-exceed $5,000 contract for this work. Motion
carried.
BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO.RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
It was moved and seconded (Pohl-Pauley) Staff be authorized to sign
a work release with Design Studios West, authorizing Wright Water
Engineers to extend the hydraulic model downstream to the Highway
36 Bridge over the Big Thompson River immediately downstream of the
confluence with Black Canyon Creek at a not-to-exceed cost of
$4,827. Motion carried.
Conceptual plans for the East Corridor Riverwalk will be available
for the Board's review on October 3, 1989.
There being no further business. Director Anderson requested a work
session following the meeting. Hearing no objection. Chairman
Phares adjourned the meeting.
