WHEREAS,the Town of Estes Park,Colorado has
been the beneficiary of Greig Steiner’s talents,
creativity,energy,selfless dedication,community
philanthropy and engagement;and
WHEREAS,Greig Steiner attended Mt.San Antonio
College in Pomona,CA,and received a Bachelor of
Theater Arts from the Pasadena Playhouse,and
WHEREAS,he was the Co-Founder and Art and Technical
Director of the Dark House Theater in Estes Park in 1959,
creating,building,painting and lighting over 100 different
settings for 36 shows in 4 summers,and
WHEREAS,Greig Steiner has served as the Stage Director and
Art and Technical Director for the Fine Arts Guild of the
Rockies since 1963,and
WHERAS,in 1967,Greig Steiner became Principal Artist of Greig
Steiner Gallery and Design Studios,Estes Park,and
WHEREAS,Greig Steiner has had major art installations and
commissions throughout Estes Park,Colorado and the United States;
including at the Timberline Restaurant,Nicky’s Restaurant,Park
National Bank,the Town of Estes Park,the Rocky Mountain National
Park Headquarters and the National Park Services Headquarters,and
WHEREAS,Grieg Steiner has designed and engineered the architectural
designs of the Courtyard Building,the Gazebo Restaurant and Courtyard
Tavern in Estes Park.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the
Trustees of the Town of Estes Park do hereby recognize,
Greig Steiner
And do herby find it an honor and distinct pleasure to present this
Proclamation in recognition of his many contributions and the joy he has
brought to the Town of Estes Park.
