Minutes of a regular meeting of The Estes Park Regional iPlanning Commission, held in the Tcwn
Hall, Estes Park, Colo,, on July 20, I965 at 4:00 P.M,
Present: Harry Miles Chairman, R.C. Brodie, Chas. Hix, |n.T. Petrocine, Clarence Gillett,
Dr, J.O, Mall, Howard Stewart,
Absent: Louis Canaiy, Carl Swanson, L.F, Flower,
Minutes of the regular meeting held on June 15, read and approved as read.
Chairman Miles called the meeting to order arid stated that the Commission would
proceed to conduct a public hearing regarding the request on file to re-zore a
portion of the East of Lot No, 7, Sec, 2, Rownship 4 No, Range 73 W, 6th
SYKES P.M, from the existing E Estate District to a B Business District, submtted by
George F Sykes, The Secretary reported that Public Notice had b^n published
RE- ZONE regarding this hearing and that there was no correspondence on file. Mr. Georp
Sykes appeared and spoke supporting his request, Mr. Richard Poly and Mr. ^bt,
Bigler, property owners in the area spoke, stated that they did not object to Mr,
Sykes plan to operate his own business on the site, but definitly opposed the
request to re-zone any portion of the property. Following detail discussion,
N.T, Petrocine moved that the request to re-zone not be denied at this tame,
and that the applicant appeal to The Beard of Adjustment to see if any accept^le
action could be taken by that Board. Dr. Mall seconded the motion. Upon roll call
said motion unanimously carried.
Chairman Miles stated that the Commission would proceed to cond^ a/So'i;iRa]Sf 7^W
regarding the request on file to re-zone a protion of Sec, 22, Twn. 5 N°* 73
of the 6th P.M. from the existing T Tourist District to a M 1 Multiple Family
EDNA MACLEAN District, submitted by Edna MacLean, The Secretary stated MacLean
been given regarding this hearing and no correspondence was on file, Edm Mac^an
RE- ZONE appeared and spoke supporiiilig her request. There were n° p®rs°ns.pr®Sp^ t
the request. Dr, Mall moved that the Commission recommerri to^ramer County teat
the request to re-zone be approved. Howard Stewart seconded the motion. Upon roll
call said motion unanimously carried,
Mrs, Ray Tidd appeared before the Commission and submitted a plat entitled
CARRIAGE HILIS "Carriage Hills, S^Mivlsion lM^ ming", together mte a etter from

Dr. Mall moved that the plat be given preliminary approval. Chas. Hax seconded
the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
Mr J A Conklin appeared and submitted a copy of a petition to be submtt^ to the
opposing the operation of a ^
on HiAway # 34, just East of the village, signed by about 30 property omers in
the area,^ Thfcommission expressed the hope that I^rimer County would be able to
abate this operation,
Mr Paul Van Horn appeared and submitted a plat entitled "Karel Heists Subdivision"
^omrd Molard er owner. The plat having been corrected in accordance with the
Commission,s recommendation, Clarerce Gillett moved that it be pven fiml gprOTa!.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
