HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Regional Planning Commission 1963-03-26RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS I Minutes of a meeting of the Estes Park Regional Planning Commission, held in the Town Hall, on Tuesday, March 26, 1963, at P.M. Present; Harry Miles, Chairman* Val Benard, Louis Canaly, Charles Hlx, C.M. Hunter. Also present, Paul Van Horn, Enginees. Verne H. Fanton, Secretary. Absent: R.C. Brodle, Joe Connelly, Dr. J.O. Mall, Carl Swanson. I Minutes of the regular meeting held on Nov. 27th, read and approved. Mr. Michael Harden appeared before the Commission, representing Mr. Chester Venditty. Mr. Harden made application for the construction of a masonery building, to be located one mile West of Estes Park, on Highway No. 262, on the site of Tiny Town Cottages. The building to be constructed by Mr. Venditty, and operated by him, as a Space Craft ExhiblSattlon. The Secretary I reported that the site was in a Tourist District, and that the Intended use was not itimizcd in the Zoning Ordinance. After reviewing the application, and the Commission being of the opinion that' the intended use was &f a higher classification than some uses included in the Ordinance, Charles Hix moved that the application be approved. Louis Canaiy seconded the motion. Upon roll wall said motion unanimously carried. Mr. Harry Miles presented a plat of Esquires ficres Subdivision, and ask about the possibility of dedicating another public street in the Subdivision. After discussing the proposal, it was unanimously agreed that the subdivider should construct a private access road. f Mr. Paul Van Horn, Engineer and surveyor, talked with the Commission about serious errors in Engineering that appear in surveying, after a subdivision plat has been approved and recorded. The Commission explained that they have no one available to check the engineering or legal part of a plat, and have to rely on the signature of the surveyor that prepared the plat, that it is correct. Any f\xrther certification would be up to the Larimer County Planning Commission There being no further business, it was regularly move^, seconded, and carried that the meeting adjourn. Chairman
