HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Planning Commission 1969-10-21Minutes of a regular meeting of the Estes Park Planning Cominission, held at the Town Hall, Estes Park, Colorado, on the 21st day of October at 4:00 P.M, Present: Hovrard Stewart, Chairman, Mayor R#G, Brodie, Marvin Steel, Chas, F, Hix, Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Secretary, George Mowery, Town building inspector, Dwight VJhitney, Larimer County Planner, Trafton Bean, Town Pj.anning Consultant, and Steve Hopkins, representing the State Planning Office* ! Absent: Henry Dannels, E,S, Erickson, Glenn Prosser, Minutes of the regular meeting held on September 16, 1969, read and approved. Chairman Stewart called the meeting to order and stated that the Commission would proceed to consider a request to resone the Tranquil Vale Subdivision of the Town of Estes Park, The Secretary reported that Public Notice had been given that this would be the time and place that the request would be considered. The Petition was read in full. The Chairman ask if there were persons present supporting the request, Mr, Elmer Olander spoke in favor of the request. There vrere no persons present to oppose the request, Crias, F, Hix moved that this Commission recommend to the Town Boai-d that the Tranquil Vale Subdivision be reaoned from the present R 2 Multiple- Family Residence District to a R 1 Residence District, R,C, Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried, I Mr, Milan Dickinson appeared and explained that a subdivision plat is being prepared for Lot 12, So, St, Vrain Addition to The Town 0f Estes Park, but is not ready for filing at this time, and that it was urgent that he be given a building permit at this time to construct a commercial building at this time. The owner of the lot, Mr, Robert Bigler, stated that the plat would be filed soon, and that all subdivision and zoning regulations would be complied vn.th. Acting under Section 21,8 of the Municipal Code Marvin Steel moved that this Commission recommend to the Town board that the building permit be issued, Charles Hix seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried,! Mr, Stephen D, Hopkins, of the State Planning Office, 1 presented the Commission with copies of a Reconnaissance Study of the Town of Estes Park, prepared by his cf ice, in connection with the application of the Town for a Federal Grant under the Federal " 701" program. The remainder of the meeting was spent reviewing the repor . The Commission agreed to again study the report at the next meeting. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Chairman !
