18th day of June, 1968, at 4:00 P^M, in the Town Hall, Estes Park, Colorado,
Present: Harry Miles, Chairman, Henry Dannels, Carl Swanson, Chas, F, Hix,

Minutes of the regular meeting held on May 21, 1968 read and approved as read.
In accordance with Public Notice given. Chairman Miles opened the meeting and stated
that the Commission would proceed to conduct a public hearing on a petition submitted
by Maude E, and Donald R, Fine, to rezone a portion of Lot 20, Little Prospect Mountain
Addition to the Town of Estes Park, from the present R - 1 Residence District to a
C - 1 Commercial District, The Chairman asked if there were any persons present
supporting the peittion. There were none. The Chairman asked if there were any persons
present opposing the petition, Mr, Ralph Pettit, Incille Hatlestad and Mrs, Tagg,
adjoining property owners, were present and spoke opposing the petition. Following
discussion, Henry Dannels moved that the petition be denied and that the recommendation
of this Commission read accordingly, Carl Swanson seconded the motion,. Upon roll
call said motion unanimously carried.
In accordance with Public Notice given. Chairman Milos stated that the Commission would
proceed to conduct a public hearing on a petition submitted by John C, Jones, Bert J,
McConnell end Lora F, Keck, to rezone Lots 141, 142, and 126 of A1 Fresco Place
Addition of the Tovm of Estes Park from the present R - 1 Residence District to a
R - 2 Multiple Family District, The Chainnan asked if there were any persons present
supporting the petition, John C, Jones spoke supporting the petition. Chairman asked
if there were persons present opposing the petition, Mr, Robert Burgess spoke, stated
that he also represented William Burgess and Mrs, Thelma Chapman, and that they were
property owners and opposed the petition, Georgia Bennett and lou Huff, stated that
they were property owners and also opposed the petition. Following discussion,
Chas, F, Hix moved that the petition be denied, Henry Dannels seconded the motion.
Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried,
Mr, Robert Dekker appeared and presented a plat of Majestic Pines Subdivision within
The Town of Estes Park and ask that it be given final approval. The plat appearing
to be in order, Carl Swanson moved that the plat be given final approval, Henry
Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried,
Mr, Robert Dekker filed a request that the Majestic Pines Subdivision be rezoned from
the present R - 1 Residence District to a R - Residence District, The Commission
ordered public notice given that they would consider the request at the next regular
meeting,

The Commission discussed a meeting held with a representative of the Urban Renewal
Program from Fort Worth, Texas and ask that Mr, Trafton Bean, Town Planning Consultant,
meet with the Commission at the next meeting to discuss possible Federal Aid for
a "701H Planning Program,
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
