Minutes of a regular meeting of The Estes Park Planning Commission, held in The Town
Hall, Estes Park, Colorado, on the 19th day of October, I965 at 4:00 P,M,
PRESENT: Hariy Miles, Chairman, R.C. Brodie, Louis Canaiy, Chas, F Hix, Carl Swanson,
Val Bernard, L.F, Flower, Clarence Gillett, Dr. J.O, Mall, Howard Stewart,
James Bissell, Frank McGraw, Also Present: Verne H Fanton, Secretary,
Absent: N.T, Petrocine
Minutes of the regular meeting held on Setp, 2B, 1965> read and approved,

Mr, Edward Hummer, Attorney at Law, appeared before the Commission, and ask
whether or not in the opinion of this Commission, the operation of a portable
asphalt plant is a permitted use in the Restricted Industrial District or the
Asphalt C 2 Restricted Commercial District, of the Town of Estes Park Zoning Ordinance,
Plant Mr, Hummer reviewed the Ordinance and stated that in his opinion this use
might be permitted under Sec, 12,9 -• 4 of the Ordinance, Mr, Hummer stated
that he was not asking for a permit for operation and that he was notasking
for re-zoning. Following diwcussion, James Bissell moved that this Commission
declare that the operation of an asphalt plant was not a permitted use vurier
the Ordinance, Louis Canaiy seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion
carried by the following vote: 'TKose voting "Yes1' Brodie, Canaiy, Hix, Swanson,
Bernard, Flower, Gillett, Mall, Stewart, Bissell, Those voting "Mo" none,
(member McGraw not present at this time),

Mr, Edward Burns, a property owner in Country Club Estates Subdivision, appeared
before the Commission requesting the Comnission to consider the re-zoning of
Country Club Estates from the present R- 1 Residence District to a E-1 Estate
District, The Sedretary read a letter from the Town Board requesting this
Commission to conduct a public hearing on the above request, R.C, Brodie
moved that said public hearing be held at the next regular meeting, Clarence
Gillett seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried,
Mr, Ronald P Harris, Registered Engineer, appeared before the Commission and
presented a subdivision plat entitled " Estes Park Estates, 3rd Filing" and ask
that it be given final approval. The plat appearing to be in order. Dr, Mall
moved that said plat be given final approval, Chas, Hix seconded the motion,
lip#n roll call said motion unanimously carried.
Mr, Frqnk E, Williams appeared before the Commission and ask approval for the
Williams installation and operation of a "Go Cart Track" to be located West of Estes Park
Go Cart on Highway # 66, South of the entrance to the National Park Utility Area,
Howard Stewart moved that the Secretary give public notice that the Commission will
consider the request at hhe next regular meeting, Louis Canaiy seconded the
motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
The Secretary read a letter from Mr, Trafton Bean giving a summary report of the
Town Zoning program to date. Chairman Miles stated that the Commission would
attempt to outline the particular needs of
Planning Consultant services.
