Chairman Pauley called the meeting to order at 8:35 A.M.
MINUTES:
Minutes of the May 2, 1991 regular meeting were approved as
prepared.
BILLS:
It was moved and seconded (Henderson-Ericson) the bills be paid,
and it passed unanimously.
TREASURER'S REPORT;
The April 1991 Treasurer's Report will be submitted at the June 6,
1991 regular meeting.
COMMITTEES:
Chairman Pauley appointed Commissioner Swank to the Relocation and
Development Committees.
AUTHORITY BUSINESS;
Big Thompson Rip—Rap Repair — Change Order #1 — The contract with
Jim s Wrecker Service, Inc. for repair of the Big Thompson rip rap
had a unit price for removal of excess river bottom material from
the site (a portion of this material has been relocated to a Town
park project). One hundred sixty-eight cubic yards of
silt/sand/rock were removed at a unit price of $9.00/cubic yard
(quantities were verified by site observation) for a total amount
of $1,512.00. Additional work was requested by the equipment
operator to rearrange rocks outside the contract area for a total
amount of $270.00 (3 hrs. x $90.00 - time verified by Bob Joseph).
It was moved and seconded (Pohl-Henderson) Change Order #1 in the
amount of $1,782.00 be approved, and it passed unanimously.
STAFF:
Employer's Mutual Casualty Company has been notified by EPURA's
legal counsel of the complaint filed with USA Construction, Inc. by
EPURA. USA Construction, Inc. has been advised by counsel that the
hydraulic models performed on the river indicate corrective action
is required by USA Construction.
Director Anderson requested an Executive Session to discuss
property acquisition. There being no objection. Chairman Pauley
adjourned the meeting to Executive Session.
