Vice-Chairman Pauley called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the December 19, 1989 meeting were approved as prepared.
LIAISON
Commissioner Klaphake noted the Conference Center development plan
is scheduled for presentation to the EPURA Board in February.
Mr. Leonard C. Molander donated a parcel of land north of Fall
River to the Town of Estes Park. A copy of the warranty deed,
recorded December 28, 1989, is on file. Survey of this area is
completed and replatting will be submitted at the February Planning
Commission meeting.
AUTHORITY BUSINESS
Design Studios West - Authorization to Sian Work Release for
Construction Drawings - Director Anderson referred to his January
3, 1990 memo to the Board regarding the river corridor construction
budget, recommending the Board approve a work release for
preparation of construction drawings, using a construction budget
of $507,000. The CD fee is 6.5% ($32,955). It was moved and
seconded (Ericson-Klaphake) the Executive Director be authorized
to sign the work release. Motion carried. Drawings will be
completed by March 15, 1990.
Weber Design - Authorization to Sign Work Release for $180.00 - It
was moved and seconded (Pohl-Klaphake) the Executive Director be
authorized to sign a work release with Weber Design for $180.00 to
cover additional sign design detail. Motion carried.
Design Studios West - Authorization to Sign Work Release for Wright
Water Engineers for $405.00 - Necessitated by changes in the Barlow
Plaza development plan, Wright Water was requested to perform
additional computer runs. It was moved and seconded (Ericson-
Klaphake) the Executive Director be authorized to sign this work
release. Motion carried.
STAFF
EPURA's accounting firm has instituted an accounting system to
facilitate bond draws for the conference center and river corridor
construction projects.
The Development Committee will meet prior to the January 18th Board
meeting to review a preliminary design of the "Ice House" parking
lot.

The Development Committee will meet in February to discuss the
subject of 1990 family festival entertainment and related
advertising.
Beginning January 10th, river corridor construction meetings will
be held each Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. in the URA office.
East river corridor demolition will begin the week of January 8,
1989. All property owners, tenants and appropriate Town
departments have been notified.
There being no further business, Vice-Chairman Pauley adjourned the
meeting.
