Swank Chairman Gunn, Commissioners Henderson, Hix, Putney, and Swank Executive Director Anderson, Deputy Clerk Kuehl Commissioners Klaphake and Martin Chairman Gunn called the special meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. EAST ELKHORN TRAFFIC SIGNAL — AWARD CONTRACT The Estes Park Urban Renewal Authority will install a pedestrian traffic signal on East Elkhorn Avenue. The lights will hang over two traffic lanes from both sides of the street, but not over the turn lane. Push button activation will change light signal, which will run in a predetermined cycle set by CDOT, The light will be operational year round. Commissioner Putney stressed the importance of community education regarding the use of this light. Chairman Gunn requested a drawing of the area be provided to the media for publication. Kerry Prochaska, Rocky Mountain Consultants, reported that installation will begin on April 17, with a proposed 30-day construction schedule. Rocky Mountain Consultants estimated the installation cost at $34,554.00. Bids for such installation were received from: Mountain Constructors, Inc. $34,085.00 Total Concrete Services, Inc. $34,970.84 KECI Colorado, Inc. $42,160.00 Director Anderson read the resolution. It was moved and seconded (Hix- Putney) the Authority accept the bid received from Mountain Constructors, Inc. in the amount of $34,085.00, for the East Elkhorn Pedestrian Traffic Signal installation, and it passed unanimously. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:14 a.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for April 19 at 8:00 a.m. 1 Tina Kuehl, Deputy Town Clerk
