HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Board of Adjustment 1971-10-18RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Board of Adjustment October 18,1971 Coimnittee:Chairman Dannels;Members Brownfield,Palmer,Steele and Sutter Attending:Chairman Dannels;Members Palmer,Steele and Sutter Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill and Building Inspector William Van Horn Absent:Member Brownfield Mr.Lynn Kinney,owner of Lot 2,Lee and Alps Subdivision,appeared before the Board to request a variance as per the attached map.This variance will be to Section 12.10-2 -YARDS -of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park as it relates to the eight foot setback from river walls.After considerable discussion and Town Engineer Bill Van Horn pointing out the fact that Mr.Kinnie may move the river wall and be in compliance with the Municipal Code,Chairman Dannels moved that the request for the variance be denied.Member Palmer seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Paul Van Horn,owner of certain property immediately west of and adjacent to Fish Creek Road near the golf course,appeared before the Board of Adjustment and requested a variance that would allow him to use the eight foot front yard setback requirement for building underneath the sidewalk area.Member Sutter moved this variance be granted.Chairman Dannels seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
