LOT 20. WHITE MEADOW VIEW PLACE. 543 PONDEROSA DRIVE. LINDA BUESING/APPLICANT - VARIANCE REQUEST FROM SECTION 17.20.040B.l.b OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE. The purpose of this meeting is to hold a hearing regarding the Buesing Variance granted August4,1998 to receive comment from an adjacent property owner who was not notified of that meeting. Senior Planner Joseph stated the Board approved the request last month. Subsequent to that meeting Debby Gribble contacted staff inquiring about the status of the variance. Mr. and Mrs. Gribble requested an opportunity to voice their concerns to the Board. Mr. Joseph reviewed the map staff prepared for this meeting identifying the Gribble property. Debby Gribble stated the importance of setbacks noting the Buesing’s home is 6"-7" from the Gribble property line at its closest point. Currently there are problems with lot lines and the variance will add to the problems. She noted their waterline is located in the 10' strip area, with the water line turnoff at the end of the strip. The Gribbles are concerned with the visual intrusion. Chair Baudek noted the variance does not affect the water line. Member Sager stated he was not in favor of the variance, the Buesings are obligated to provide for a setback whether through trading or purchasing property. He regrets the problem has not been solved and stated all possibilities have not been explored. Member Sager made a motion to deny the request. The motion died for lack of a second. Chair Baudek stated the ruling of August 4,1998 stands. (Motion is repeated below.) It was moved and seconded (Newsom/Jeffrey) to approve the variance request for Lot 20, White Meadow View Place with the following conditions and it was approved with the following votes. Those voting “Yes,” Barker, Baudek, Jeffrey and Newsom. Those voting “No,” Member Sager. All variances granted by the Board of Adjustment shall become null and void if a Building Permit has not been issued and paid for, and work thereunder commenced within four (4) months from the date the variance is granted (August 4,1998). • Approval of covenant by Town Attorney White. • The covenant must be recorded prior to proceeding with completion of the work. • This variance applies only to the two existing bay window room additions, and the granting of this variance does not infer any future entitlement to variances for other work or room additions that do not conform to required setbacks.
