HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Board of Adjustment 1973-04-05RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Board of Adjustment April 5, 1973 Committee; Chairman Sutter; Members Herzog, Palmer, Prosser and Wagner Attending: Chairman Sutter; Members Herzog, Prosser and Wagner Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill and Zoning Administrator Van Horn Absent; Member Palmer ALBERT R. WIGHT; Mr. Albert R. Wight, owner of the property located at 138 East Riverside Drive (former Terrain House),appeared before the Board to ask a variance to the eight foot front property line setback requireraent of the Municipal Code. Town Building Official Van Horn reported the building permit was denied because the existing northeast corner of the building is extending into the setback by eight inches to one foot. Mr. Paul Firnhaber re­ presented Mr. Wight and spoke for the variance. Mr. Dwayne Herman, owner of the property next door, west, spoke in regard to his decision to see this building removed. Member Herzog moved the request for a variance be denied. Member Prosser seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. RAYMOND W. JAEGER; Mr. Raymond W. Jaeger, owner of Lot 13, Block 2, Hyde Park Addition, appeared before the Board to appeal the decision of the Town Building Official, Bill Van Horn. Town Building Official Van Horn denied a building permit on the above mentioned lot because the lot does not meet the minimum 13,000 square foot area required for a two family dwelling. This lot has an area of 8,712.5 square feet. Town Building Official Van Horn recommended this variance not be granted. Member Prosser moved the request for a variance be denied. Member Wagner seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Dale G.
