March 28, 1968

Mrs. Donna Bowman, representing radio station KKEP, appeared before the
Board and requested a sign variance. The radio station requests per
mission to place signs in the following locations:
1. State #7, Ray Laessig property.
2. State spur #66, Bud Wurtele property.
3. MacGregor Ave., Black Canyon Ranch property.
4. U. S. #34, Stanley Hotel property.
5. U. S. #36, Town of Estes Park(Stanley Park) property.
Radio Station KKEP also requests permission to make the signs of a
material called dura-ply, mounted on U shaped poles, measurements
two feet by four feet and will read "EMERGENCY MESSAGES KKEP 1470 ".
Board Member Palmer moved Radio.. Station KKEP be granted the following
variance to the Town of Estes Park Municipal Code, Chapter 12.12-2 (8):
That the above mentioned signs be permitted on
the above mentioned locations and that the signs
will conform with all other provisions of the
Code.
Member Sutter seconded the motion and upon roll call the motion passed
by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Members, Palmer, Sutter,
Tregent, Petrocine and Dannels. Those voting "No" none.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
