Community Development Director Stamey, Sales and Marketing Director Pickering, Clerk O'Connor Chairman Barker called the Committee meeting to order at 2:00 P.M. CONFERENCE CENTER TRANSPORTATION SERVICES - REVIEW OF PROPOSALS. Director Stamey solicited bids from qualified transportation companies for the commercial operation of a shuttle bus system serving the Conference Center. The Contract includes service for five (5) conference groups beginning April 25, 1992, and ending June 27, 1992. Staff requested bids include a unit price bid for each conference as well as a lump sum bid for transit services for all five conferences. The cost of the transportation services will be paid, in part, by conference attendees. Bids were as follows: Estes Park Trolley .......................................... $ 9,500.00 Charles Limousine ............................................ 13,000.00 Estes Park Trolley is the low bidder and they have advised that approximately one-third of the transportation services will be subcontracted to Charles Limousine. The open air sections of the existing trollies have been improved by the installation of plexiglass. The actual Transportation Service Contract will be presented to the Town Board in the near future. The Committee recommends acceptance of the low bid in the zuaount of $9,500.00 submitted by Estes Park Trolley. ECONOMIC STUDY GROUP APPOINTMENT. As announced at the Town Board meeting February 25, 1992, Nelson Thomas is unable to participate and Rich Wille has confirmed his availability. Chairman Barker announced Jenny Kosenka will replace Mr. Thomas. The Study Group is now comprised of: Jean Austin, Dick Barlow, Frank Bassett, Warren Clinton, Jack Holmquist, Jenny Kosenka, Connie Phipps, and Rich Wille. Trustee Barker will serve as Chairman. MUSEUM - REPORT. Administrator Klaphake reported that Katy Karr has been hired to fill the Seasonal Museum Program Coordinator; the last Sunday of each month will be set aside as a "free admission day"; the Friends of the Museum solicitation czunpaign for members has been planned; Tom Brown has submitted his resignation from the Friends Advisory Board; and the Quilt Exhibit opens March 6th. REPORTS. Administrator Klaphake noted that he. Trustee Hix, and Town Attorney White have discussed the Housing Study Group assignment. A few goals for 1992 have been defined. Additional information will be forthcoming. Director Stamey reported that the Advertising Slide Program has been presented to the Accommodations Association; the Chamber of Commerce Board will view the slides next week.
