Town Administrator Widmer, Trustee Aldrich, Community Development Director Stamey, Advertising Manager Marsh, Museum Director Swain, Clerk O'Connor None Chairman Barker called the meeting to order at 9:30 A.M. 1992 ADVERTISING PROGRAM - UPDATE. Statistics. Director Stamey reported that year-to-date statistics have been modified to correct an error in reporting procedures. Actual increases from July, 1991 are: packet requests 7.6%; telephone inquiries 19.6%; press release program, excluding flood coverage, has generated an advertising value of $37,105.00. Lawn Lake Flood News Coverage. The Committee viewed a video tape of news coverage on the 10th Anniversary of the Lawn Lake Flood which was aired on Channels 2, 7 and 9. The coverage focused on recovery efforts in lieu of the flood and equates to $26-27,000 worth of coverage. Fall Insert. Staff presented copies of the Fall Insert which will be distributed August 16 along the front range. This insert spotlights the Scottish Highland Festival. The insert has evolved into a significant advertising tool. MUSEUM - REPORT. Museum Director Swain presented the visitation, membership, programs, and volunteer statistic report for June, noting visitation has increased 88% from 1991. The Quilt Show will be loaned to the Westminster Historical Society from September 1 - November 30, 1992. The Museum will receiv $100.00 for this effort. All were invited to attend a Reception August 28th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. for the Rocky Mountain Stick Architecture Inside and Out Exhibit. Work is proceeding on a Photograph Exhibit for nationally known Chansonnetta Stanley, sister of F. O. Stanley. The Historic plaques were installed July 11; the Riverside Dance raised $2,350 for the Museum; the History Camp is underway and has been very successful thus far; the Museum will serve as the headquarters for the Estes Family Reunion. All were invited to attend the History Fair August 22. REPORTS. The Housing and Economic Study Groups have been established and meetings1 are being conducted. The Housing Group may have a recommendation for the Committee in September/October. Polly Garrett, Co-Chairman/75th Anniversary Celebration, reported on the successful dedication and tours for the bronze reliefs. Ms. Garrett also reported on the Art Museum Exhibit which the Trustees granted in Room 203 of the Municipal Building. Approximately 80-100 guests/week toured the exhibit. A special invitation was extended for the History Fair August 22. There being no further business, Chairman Barker adjourned the meeting at 10:09 A.M.
