RESOLUTION60-21ADOPTINGTHELARIMERCOUNTYMULTI-JURISDICTIONALHAZARDMITIGATIONPLANWHEREAS,LarimerCounty,includingtheTownofEstesPark,hasexperiencedpastflooding,wildfiresandothernaturalandhuman-causedhazardeventsthatposeriskstopublichealthandsafetyandwhichmaycauseseriouspropertydamage;andWHEREAS,theLarimerCountyMulti-JurisdictionalHazardMitigationPlanisreviewedannuallybytheLarimerCountyHazardMitigationPlanningTeam,includingpersonnelfromtwenty-fivedifferentjurisdictionswithinLarimerCounty,includingtheTownofEstesPark,andpartnerorganizations;andWHEREAS,theplanningprocessbyallparticipatingLarimerCountyjurisdictionsandagenciesofferedtheopportunitytoconsidernaturalandhuman-causedhazardsandrisks,andtoidentifymitigationactionstoreducefutureimpactsofsuchhazards;andWHEREAS,theLarimerCountyMulti-JurisdictionalHazardMitigationPlanrecommendsmitigationactionsthatwillhelpminimizeandreducesafetythreatsanddamagetoprivateandpublicproperty;andWHEREAS,theTownofEstesParkdesirestoformallyadopttheLarimerCountyMulti-JurisdictionalHazardMitigationPlan.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:1.TheTownofEstesParkherebyadoptstheMay2021LarimerCountyMulti-JurisdictionalHazardMitigationPlanfortheTownofEstesPark.2.TheappropriateofficialsoftheTownofEstesParkareauthorizedtosubmitthisResolutionandanyrelateddocumentstotheColoradoDivisionofHomelandSecurity&EmergencyManagementandFederalEmergencyManagementAgency.DATEDthis7dayof________________,2021.TOWN0ESTESPARKATTEST:ClerkAPPROVEDASTOFORM:TownAttorney
