RESOLUTION55-21ARESOLUTIONAUTHORIZINGTHEFORMATIONOFANAD-HOCTASKFORCETOEVALUATETHETOWN’SROLEINENVIRONMENTALSUSTAINABILITYWHEREAS,theTownBoardhasestablishedPublicSafety,Health,andEnvironmentasoneofitseightoutcomeareasinthe2021StrategicPlan;andWHEREAS,theTownBoardiscommittedtopromotingpoliciesthatencourageenvironmentalstewardship;andWHEREAS,theTownBoardiscommittedtomakingdata-drivendecisionstoimproveandprotectthequalityoftheenvironmentintheTown;andWHEREAS,theTownBoardiscommittedtoevaluatingwaysthattheTowncanadvancethecauseofenvironmentalsustainabilityandhasrequestedamoredetailedexplorationandevaluationofoptionsforTowninvolvementinenvironmentalsustainabilityinitiatives.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:Section1:TheEnvironmentalSustainabilityTaskForceisherebyestablishedasanad-hoctaskforceunderTownPolicy102,todeveloprecommendationsfortheTownBoardconcerningtheTown’sroleinenvironmentalsustainabilityinitiatives.Section2:ThemembersofthistaskforcewillbeappointedbytheTownBoardafteranapplicationandinterviewprocess.Section3:ThescopeofthistaskforcewillbelimitedtodevelopingrecommendationsfortheTownBoardofTrusteesonstrategiesandtacticstoadvanceenvironmentalsustainability.Recommendedstrategiesandtacticsshallbeassignedaproposedtimelineforimplementation.Section4:TaskforcerecommendationsshallbesubmittedtotheTownBoardandtheTownAdministratornolaterthanJanuary31,2022.
