RESOLUTION OF RESPECT
WHEREAS,Robert M.Goehring,Jr.,a graduate of the Estes
Park High School,has served the citizens of Estes Park in numerous
capacities from 1984 to 2010;and
WHEREAS,in 1984,he gained employment with the Town of
Estes Park Water Department as distribution foreman and within two
years was promoted to Water Superintendent.In 2003,Bob was
named Utilities Director and has served in that capacity since,and as
acting Public Works Director from 2006-2007;and
WHEREAS,Bob was awarded the Employee of the Year in
1991 and also received numerous merit and incentive awards for work
excellence;and
WHEREAS,during his tenure,Bob participated in many capital
projects designed to ensure the continued reliability of Estes Park’s
utility services including the following:
Cascade Diversion Structure
Million gallon Glacier Creek storage tank
300,000 gallon McGregor Mountain storage tank
New Marys Lake water treatment plant in 1993 and remodel
in 2010
Five water plant upgrades
Pump stations in Kiowa and Thunder Mountain subdivisions
Raw water pump system
Marys Lake electrical substation
Implementation of two SCADA (System Control and Data
Acquisition)alarm systems for water and power
Numerous additional water and electrical distribution system
upgrades.
WHEREAS,Bob also served on the Platte River Power Authority
Board,North Front Range Water Quality Planning Association and
Windy Gap.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and
Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,by this Resolution and
Public Record,recognize the dedication and leadership of Robert M.
Goehring,Jr.during his tenure with the Town and express profound
apprection for his service to ourAommunjy.
