REGARDS TO THE
SUNSHINE COAST OF AUSTRALIA
WHEREAS,the Town Trustees and the citizens of Estes Park,
Colorado,extend their best wishes and wholeheartedly endorse
this Friendship Force Exchange to the Sunshine Coast of
Australia;and
WHEREAS,our nation’s peace and prosperity is directly
interwoven with the welfare and development of the rest of
mankind,and our own future is made more secure when we
can share with other nations the responsibility for keeping
peace and building a better world;and
WHEREAS,it is essential in our democratic societies to maintain informed public
support for the United States and Australia;and
WHEREAS,we have similar characteristics and mutual interests and wish to
promote friendship and understanding between the people of the United States and
Australia;and
WHEREAS,the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,extends an invitation to visit our City
and State knowing that visiting exchanges will provide opportunities of friendship
and social progress among these two nations.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Town of Estes Park do hereby extend our warmest regards to the Friendship Force
members of the Sunshine Coast of Australia,and offer an invitation to visit Estes
Park,Colorado,to enjoy the hospitality of our citizens and an exchange in cultures
as well as a realistic understanding of the goals,problems and achievements.
