WHEREAS,Estes Park Medical Center,along with
Children’s Hospital of Denver,and the Kiwanis Pediatric
Trauma Institute is sponsoring a safety program “The Jungle
Mobile”in conjunction with Pediatric Trauma Week.
WHEREAS,Estes Park Medical Center,for 27 years,has
provided,comprehensive,caring,and quality health care to the
Estes Valley and surrounding areas.Estes Park Medical Center
has a full spectrum of services and prides itself on its outstanding
service,staff,quaLity of care and community service.
WHEREAS,Estes Park Medical Center will be sponsoring,aLong with the
Local Kiwanas,Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute,and Children’s Hospital -
“The Jungle Mobile”which teaches children age 3 to 10 to “Play in Safe”.
Children will learn important safety topics including being safe in cars;being
a safe pedestrian and bike rider;being safe from falls;being safe from fires;
being safe in the water,and how to respond in an emergency.All these
events are in conjunction with Pediatric Trauma Week as unintentional
injuries are the leading caue of death in children ages 1-14.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Town of Estes Park proclaim the week of September 30th -
October 4th as
PEDIATRIC TRAUMA WEEK
in the Town of Estes Park,Colorado and all citizens of the community are
encouraged to support this event through participation.
