WHEREAS,during National Nurses Week,nurses
across the United States celebrate the significant
contribution their profession makes to public health
care;and
WHEREAS,the theme of this year’s celebration is
“Nurses:Lifting Spirits,Touching Lives”;and
WHEREAS,National Nurses week also gives the public
the opportunity to understand and appreciate the
contributions nurses make to the health and well-being of
all who are in need of patient care.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Town of Estes Park do hereby proclaim the week of May 6
through May 12,2003 as
WA TIONAL NURSES WEEK”
in the Town of Estes Park,and urge all citizens to join in celebrating the
diverse ways in which Registered Nurses,CNA’s,LPN’s,and Nursing
Assistants,work towards improving health care.The depth and the breadth
of the nursing profession is meeting the expanding needs of American
Society.
