WHEREAS,the United States Congress and the President of the United States,as a means to
encourage wholesome family life,traditionally proclaim the week in which Thanksgiving Day falls,
as “National Family Week”;and
WHEREAS,the family unit bonded by love,understanding,common interests and endeavors Is the
basis of the strength of our community and our nation;and
WHEREAS,each individual’s character,happiness and future success are largely determined by
the environment with the home;and
WHEREAS,family love and solidarity provide each member of the family unit the strength to
face the stress and strain of everyday life and the uncertainty of tomorrow;and
WHEREAS,it is fitting that official recognition be given to the importance of family loy
alties and ties as essential ingredients to the continued strength and well-being of our Town and
our nation.
NOW,THEREFORE,I,H.Bernerd Dannels,Mayor of the Town of Estes Park,on behalf of the
Board of Trustees,do hereby proclaim the week of November 20 —26,1988 as
“NATIONAL FAMILY WEEK”
in the Town of Estes Park,and urge all family members to join together to strengthen their home
life through devotion,love,understanding,and the enjoyment of working and living as a family
unit.
