WALK FOR HEALTHIER BABIES

WHEREAS,the March of Dimes is dedicated to Increasing public awareness and
“Promoting Healthier Babies by Preventing Birth Defects and Infant Mortality”In our
community and across the nation;and
WHEREAS,WalkAmerica is the single largest source of funding for the March of
Dimes and its Campaign for Healthier Babies;and
WHEREAS,a “Healthy Beginnings”program Is being sponsored in Estes Park to
provide prenatal care,without regard to the Individual’s ability to pay;and
WHEREAS,the Walk for Healthier Babies provides the citizens of Estes Park the
opportunity to participate in the support of these programs.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Town of Estes Park do hereby support May 8th as
MARCH OF DIMES WALKAMERICA
and encourage its citizens to participate in the planned activities,making a visible
statement that we are strongly committed to giving the gift of health to America’s
babies.
