HomeMy WebLinkAboutPROCLAMATION Lieutenant Colonel Mycock, James S 2006-12-01ffrQ,GULdl Qtc art,Qlotorabo ro clamatlo II WHEREAS,James S.Mycock joined the Army in May 1958 and served honorably until his military retirement,as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1989;and WHEREAS,Lieutenant Colonel James S.Mycock served two tours of duty in Vietnam,and was a stalwart member of the army Intelligence throughout the Cold War.He is the recipient of 2 bronze stars;and WHEREAS,Lieutenant Colonel James S.Mycock is personally responsible for training the US V Corps for deployment to Iraq,training the Southern European Task Force for deployment to Afghanistan as the Combined Joint Task Force 76 and preparing the 1st Infantry Division for deployment to Iraq; and WHEREAS,Lieutenant Colonel James S.Mycock continues to serve his country in various Federal and civilian positions up to his retirement in December 2006;and WHEREAS,Lieutenant Colonel James S.Mycock and his wife Mary will make Estes Park their home January 1,2007;and WHEREAS,the citizens of Estes Park are grateful to all veterans and active duty personnel that have served our country and defended our freedoms which we continue to enjoy. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,proclaim December 1,2006.
