WHEREAS,GeorgcJ.Hix has served United Valley Bank (formerly
Estes Park Bank,holding Colorado’s oldest operating state bank
charter in several capacities,including fifteen years as its president
(1970-1985)and twelve years as its chairman (1985-1997),and
WFmREAs,GcorgeJ.Hix has served the community oF Lstes Park
in numerous capacities,including as president of The Rotary Club
of Estes Park,the Chamber of Commerce,and the Rocky ‘\loun
tam Metropolitan Recreation District,and as an active and produc
tive member of The Estes Valley Land Trust,The American
Legion Post 119,Estes Park fez Club,Longs Peak Eo’Scout
Council,Boy Scouts Century Club,Community Church of The
Rockies and foothills-Gateway Rehabilitation Center,and
WHEREAS,GeorgcJ.Hix has served the Town of Estes Park as a trustee for fourteen years,
including numerous committee leadership positions,and
WHEREAS,George].Hix has served his country as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S.Air force
Reserve,assigned to the Air force Accounting and finance Center in Denver,and
WIiERn\s,GcorgeJ.1-lix is now officially retired from active service to United Valley Bank
(formerly Estes Park Bank),
Now,THEREFORE,HE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the ‘lown of I stes
